Welcome back...to me.
Remember this site from about 7+ years ago? I'm the same boring guy...sorry to disappoint. I got really busy with work way back when, and never found the motivation to get the site rolling again. I have since thought about bringing it back at least 3 or 4 times, and am finally going to do just that. This time, however, there is a slight catch. I am not going to provide home addresses to any players. I will mention the publication the address was obtained from, but that will be all. Generally most of my requests will be sent to the team addresses anyhow, so there really isn't any address info I could provide other than the team's address. The main reason I won't provide addresses is to create something I am likely to keep updating, rather than what happened before. It got to the point that updating the site became a chore...as much as I enjoyed helping fellow collectors.
With all of that blabbing out of the way, allow me to re-introduce myself. My name is Terrell Martin, and I grew up in SC. I currently live and work in TX. It's a rather long story how I got out here...basically some things worked, and unfortunately others didn't. I don't watch baseball as regularly as I once did, but I try to find time to watch the MLB channel to have an idea of what's going on.
I plan on updating the weekly/daily successes in similar fashion as I once did, though it may be a while before I really have much to update...simply because I've only sent out 9 requests recently. These are my first requests in well over 7 years. Of the 9 I've sent, I've received 5 responses. For a preview, these were Franklin Stubbs (Inland Empire 66ers), Charlie Hough (Inland Empire 66ers), Steve Buechele (Bakersfield Blaze), Jerry Browne (Potomac Nationals), and Bobby Thigpen (Winston-Salem Dash).
I'm still collecting the 1989 Topps set...and will eventually put up a list of what I already have. I get packs from eBay to get some doubles, but I'm still lacking some cards to get signed...will post what I need as well, as maybe some of you can help me. I also want to start the 1986 Topps set. I only brought with me the 1989 Topps cards, a few mixed, and a bunch of 1986 Topps. Everything else is still in SC.
I look forward to getting to know new collectors, and also reuniting with friends from the past.
